My Super Bowl Prediction

It’s that time of the year again. My annual leave is booked, the menu is decided, jersey washed and I am fully prepared to throw my sleep schedule out of sync for a single game.

While everyone predicts what adverts we’ll see and what the first song will be at half time, I have spent the last week and a half pondering the ultimate question: Who is the next Super Bowl winner.

This game comes down to Tom Brady vs Andy Reid. It is not a Mahomes vs Brady or Reid vs Arians game, this is a veteran quarterback going against one of the most creative coaches in the league.

There is no doubt that Patrick Mahomes is the next generation of talent and I firmly believe he will give Brady a run for his money this Sunday and go on to fight for the title of goat. However, you can’t doubt Brady, not when he enters this game with 19 years experience, six Super Bowl rings and a calm and confidence that has yet to be matched.

When it comes down to any given Sunday, your money has to be on Brady. He’s taken a role in coaching and play calling this year and emits an aura of cool across his offensive line.

While there is no doubting Mahomes athletic ability it really is all on whether or not Andy Reid out scheme Arians. Can Reid, for a second year in a row, throw out enough creativity to stump the Bucs defence and keep Brady off the field.

This is going to be a game of clock control, plays that come from left-field and watching two incredible quarterbacks battle for sixty minutes without losing composure.

Final prediction? Tampa Bay win, just. A high scoring game that will all come down to those final few plays.
